Bob Gaffney's Page

I've been a pro musician since I was 15 and toured and recorded with several national acts (KC & The Sunshine Band, Bobby Caldwell, Beres Hammond (reggae star), Wayne Cochran & The CC Riders, etc.) in a wide range of genres. I became a session guitarist and background vocalist and played on alot of the dance records that were coming out of Miami in the late 70's. Despite the fact that I love all genres (providing the song is there), my heart has been into country since I was a kid. Glenn Campbell was the main reason I picked up a guitar (along with The Monkees, but we won't go there! lol) The last act I was in was the platinum selling country rock band "Firefall" based out of Boulder, Co. (You Are The Woman, Just Remember I Love You, Strange Way, Cinderella, and a bunch of others). I'm having a blast pursuing a writing career and have met many wonderful writers in Nashville. My partner is Sherri Smith. We're also working with other writers who have had #1 cuts in the country genre and would love to cowrite with some of our new friends that we've met. I'm just having fun doing this and have learned by being a road dog for so long that sometimes doors will fly open when you're just having fun and not trying so hard. I'll post a few tunes that I cowrote with Sherri once they're mixed and one that I wrote for her. All three of them have been well received during our writers rounds and I'm truly honored and humbled to be in the Nashville mix.
