His debut album, “Alumni,” was released September 2007 under Street Dreamaz Entertainment. He brought an innovative and fresh new style to Charlotte, NC aka the “Queen City" with his trendsetting style and clever lyrics. He is more than a breath of fresh air to hip hop; he is the epitome of raw talent. Royal-Tee was born in Charleston, SC as Ade' (pronounced Ah'-Day) Adisa Vanderhorst, which means "Royal Priesthood" in the Nigerian language. The legends that have come before him that inspired and molded him into the artist he is today are: Nas, Eric B and Rakim, LL Cool J, KRS (Boogie Down Productions) and other outstanding lyricists from the 80’s. Royal-Tee promotes positivity and upliftment in his lyrics and is a true hip hop renaissance man.
